One week in Iceland 2015

I hope that the images capture some of the beauty of this unique part of the world.
The Northern Lights and Golden Circle portfolio The Golden Circle is a popular tourist route in South Iceland, covering about 300 km looping from Reykjavík into central Iceland and back. The three primary stops on the route are , the waterfall Gullfoss (meaning "golden falls"), the geothermally active valley of Haukadalur and the Þingvellir national park. All the Northern light images were taken above Þingvellir national park. Iceland's South Coast portfolio The South coast route in Iceland offers stunning views of waterfalls, glaciers, coastlines and impressive rock formations. Some images were taken on-route and there was little opportunity to stop and spend time with composition and lighting. It just captures what you will see if you visit this location.
Landmannalaugar and Hekla Highlands portfolio This location is really only suited for a Jeep and you drive through unforgettable landscapes with surreal beauty, steaming hot springs, snow and ice covered peaks, glaciers, moon-like craters and an amazing range of colours. A day I will never forget. Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon portfolio The ice lagoon is located in the southeast of Iceland and has become one of Iceland's most popular attractions. The lagoon is called Jökulsárlón, or Glacier's-River-Lagoon. It is located next to Vatnajökull glacier, Europe's largest glacier.
